In response to Lebanon’s ongoing economic crisis and regional disparities, this KFW-funded project, which is implemented by the UNDP, aims to revitalize the local economy in the Shafat Cluster (Akkar Governorate) by supporting at least 60 MSMEs, farmers, and cooperatives. Through value chain development, capacity building, financial and in-kind support, and institutional strengthening, the project seeks to boost competitiveness, create jobs, and promote sustainable economic growth.
Key activities include mapping productive entities, identifying priority sectors, offering training and coaching, enhancing market access, providing equipment and infrastructure support, and fostering public-private collaboration—all backed by a strong monitoring and evaluation framework.
